I think that metal roofing is the way to go. It will of curose be more expensive than shingles. If installed professionally it should also last much longer than shingles (but you always want to check out the warrenty). And contrary to popular belief, metal roofing is often quieter than an asphalt shingle roof. When installed with solid sheathing, a metal roof on your home will actually silence noise from rain, hail and bad weather better than other roofing materials. I also think that some metal roofs are beautiful.Take care.PS. And no, a metal roof will not rust as is made from high quality Aluminum and Aluminum does not rust..References :
